The first time i heard this quote it made an ever lasting impression. I read about it in the book 10 secrets for Success and inner Peace by: Wayne Dyer.
One of my favorite inspirational authors. It's one of those books that i feel you can pick up at anytime in your life, reread it and apply the principles to whatever's going on in your life to help you through. I call it "my spiritual bible". Don't die with your song still inside of you basically means listen to your intuitive inner voice and find what passion stirs your soul. When you do this your tapping into what is also an intention of love. When we choose to embrace the song within us, we then learn how to share our gift with the world.
It's not always easy at first but with practice i can guarantee it's very rewarding at the end of your days. Sometimes we find we hold fear around whatever it is. Typically because we're afraid to branch off on our own authentic path and what if thoughts start to arise. Along with breaking the patterns of societies way thats been drilled in our heads from a very young age. I have learned where there is fear and we choose to sit through the uncomforted of it, let it rise, and then let it go, we grow and learn so much about ourselves.. Which brings you one step closer to your purpose and passion. That song inside you!
There's some pretty cool techniques I've learned over the years to help with this practice. Another one of my favorite authors HeatherAsh Amara talks about this. Truly an amazing way to work through this and helped me a bunch.

We are all here with a purpose, with something unique that calls to us and excites our soul. Throughout life this quote has resonated with me so much. Growing up and seeing so many people living in a world and not living out there full potential of what truly lights them up inside. I to was living this life style until one day i woke up and started doing the work. Life still has its ups and downs but when you'r in the flow of your souls purpose things are much easier to deal with.
The 10 Secrets:
Have a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing.
You can't give away what you don't have.
There are no justified resentments.
Embracing silence!
Don't die with your music still in you!
Give up your personal history.
You can't solve a problem with the same mind that created it.
Treat yourself as if you already are what you want to become.
Treasure your divinity.
Wisdom is avoiding all thoughts which weaken you.
After witnessing and feeling this transformation, the thought of not living my full purpose and fully expressing my song makes me feel claustrophobic after receiving the fulfillment from these practices. It's amazing how we tend to look outside ourselves to find happiness when all along its been right with us!
